Remicade is a TNF blocker, which reduces the side effects of a certain protein in the body that causes autoimmune disease. The FDA first approved the drug in 1998. Remicade is used to treat different autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn"s disease, and more.

Remicade is used when other treatments have failed. The chimeric monoclonal antibody in the drug targets the protein, TNF, in the body that causes inflammation. Remicade is intended for use in adults and children 6 years and older. A doctor or other medical professional administers the drug.

Remicade Dosage
