It is however advisable to take the drug regularly to get the most benefit from it. For further guidelines on how to use Orenitram, it is recommended to seek the doctor"s advice. People who are allergic to treprostinil and severe liver disease are also advised not to use the drug as it may cause lead to many complications. Orenitram Dosage

Dosage of Orenitram depends on the individual and the condition being treated. You should take medication precisely as your doctor prescribes it. Orenitram tablets should be taken with food and swallowed as a whole. Crushing, splitting or chewing the Orenitram tablet is not recommended. It is important to seek the doctor"s advice if you miss a dose. Below you will find a typical dosage of Orenitram.

  • The starting dose of Orenitram is 0.25 mg twice daily, taken approximately 12 hours apart or 0.125 mg three times daily, taken approximately 8 hours apart
  • The dose should be increased only as tolerated to achieve optimal clinical response. The preferable increment is 0.25 or 0.5 mg or 0.125 mg every 3-4 days
  • If the dose increments are not well-tolerated, one should consider titrating it slower
